Fresno Irrigation District has secured an impressive $27 million in state and federal grants in just three years to enhance water availability, delivery, and flood control.
These grants are a huge win, enabling FID to maximize the funding from landowner assessments through Proposition 218. This additional capital is crucial for accelerating projects and improving existing infrastructure to develop long-term water reliability for growers while advancing FID's efforts to comply with the Sustainable Groundwater Management Act (SGMA).
